What do we offer?

We support children and young people up to 19 years old with special educational needs by empowering them to grow. Our children’s services include specialist schools and children’s homes.

The most important thing for us is that we can meet children’s needs and aspirations in safe, welcoming and empowering settings. So, if we can meet needs, then we don’t worry too much about labels.

We have a growing number of residential and day schools across the UK supporting children and young people with a range of complex communication, learning and physical needs. We provide individualised and flexible programmes of education and care, a variety of bespoke environments and specialist resources including therapeutic support that are tailored to the particular needs of the school intake.

They will usually have an Education, Health and Care Plan and typically be referred by their local authority.

What does “empowering them to grow” really mean? Well, it starts with understanding that the child or young person is at the centre of everything we do, understanding them and their needs and wants, and then establishing support and learning opportunities to allow them to discover their own passion, interests and their long-term goals.

Every child and young person has individual goals they are working towards. This may be about learning to communicate effectively, about developing social and interpersonal skills or gaining the right qualifications and skills to get a job. Whatever the goal, we will work with them to develop a plan that’s as individual as they are.

Our Services

Part of empowering uniqueness is ensuring we create environments that are conducive to learning. At every one of our services, we have invested in developing the facilities to ensure that we are able to deliver the best possible education, care and therapy. But just as importantly, these are living and learning environments where children and young people feel comfortable and safe, and where they feel they can excel.
