Aurora was established in October 2015 when a group of like-minded professionals stopped and asked themselves the question ‘Why can’t things be done differently?’
It's from this question that Aurora was born and the founding team set out to create a group that would question established ways of working, uncover solutions and constantly strive to deliver the highest quality of education and care.
Our goal is quite simple. We want to ‘empower uniqueness’ in every child, young person and adult that we support. By empowering each individual, we can help them grow in their own unique and inspiring way.
That ‘growth’ is personal to each and every one of us and we believe that each individual has a unique set of skills and abilities, and that diversity should be encouraged, developed and celebrated.
What is significant about the name Aurora?
Aurora comes from ‘Aurora Borealis' - we know it as the ‘Northern Lights - which can only happen when all the right atmospheric elements come together at the same time to create spectacular results.
Crucially, every Aurora Borealis is unique, as is every individual in our care. Just as the atmospheric elements come together to create this spectacle, so Aurora's approach to bringing the elements of education, care and therapy together in our own way, aims to create a dynamic and empowering effect for those we support.
