— Shelly, Aurora Meldreth and Orchard Manor

It’s a really exciting time to work for Aurora Meldreth Manor. We are currently investing into the site to extensively refurbish the facilities and the services we provide there. We are therefore looking to expand our Social Support Teams who are making a real difference to our young people’s lives.

The home is set on a 14-acre site that supports children and young people age 6-18 years who have complex learning difficulties and is one of the few schools in the country that is also able to support complex health needs and associated difficulties. These may be as a result of conditions such as cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, degenerative conditions or autism requiring a specialist approach.

As a Team Leader you will be supporting your line manager in working with a team of support workers to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of our young people first. The role will provide appropriate physical and emotional support to the young people through the work of the care team within a residential environment and with off-site activities.

A QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare, Health and Social Care or equivalent is essential for this role.

Be part of our successful team and also benefit from a generous package that includes:

  • A competitive salary

  • On-site, low rental accommodation options – no travel costs

  • Paid holiday – 30 days per year including bank holidays (rising to 33)

  • Career progression, training and support to achieve qualifications

  • High street discounts

  • Free on-site parking

  • Life assurance plan

  • Company Pension plan

  • Child care vouchers

  • Employee assistance programme
