Teaching Assistant 

Location: Aurora Eccles School 

Salary - £11,000 - £16,000 based on experience.

Hours - Fulltime, Term time

Aurora Eccles School is an independent specialist day and residential school that caters for children and young people aged 7-19 years who have communication and learning challenges associated with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are committed to ensuring that each and every child and young person is at the heart of everything that we do.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support the children with their learning and care whilst in class. To manage behaviour and tailor approach to the individual child and to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a SEN education environment and will demonstrate the following:

  • Have good classroom based experience, or perhaps have worked with children with autism in a care environment with the knowledge, skills and understanding to ensure the needs of pupils are met;

  • Be highly motivated and have a passion for working with children with special needs;

  • Demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.
