Salary: £14,850 - £16,200 based on experience.

Opened in May 2017, you have the chance to be part of something special from the beginning. We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our growing team who are making a real difference to young people’s lives.
Aurora Hanley School is a day and residential special school offering flexible placements for students aged 6 to 19 years with complex communication and social difficulties. Students may be on the autistic spectrum, have Asperger's Syndrome or other difficulties that impact their emotional health and well-being and create barriers to learning.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career whilst you help us create an outstanding learning environment for students. As well as supporting the Teachers to develop and deliver personalised learning, you will work with colleagues to support students with their daily routines, transitions and positive behaviour management.
We are looking for suitably experienced Teaching Assistants (first start date after February half term), ideally with previous experience of working with children with autism. Experience of working within an SEN school environment is essential. In addition, you will:
Have good classroom based experience, or perhaps have worked with children with autism in a care environment with the knowledge, skills and understanding to ensure the needs of pupils
Be highly motivated and have a passion for working with children with special needs
Demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.
