Support Worker (Day & Night Shifts Available)

Salary: £17,160 per annum rising to £18,200 with a QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare/Health and Social Care.

Location: Bristol, Aurora St Christopher's School & Aurora Hyde Lodge, Westbury Park, BS6 7JE

Hours: 40 hours a week averaged over a 2 or 4 week rota with a maximum of 5 shifts per week. This will allow for every other weekend off.

It’s a new era for Aurora St Christopher’s in Bristol. The site is currently undergoing a multi-million-pound redevelopment that will see current services modernised and upgraded and brand new facilities opened.  

As a result of this we are looking for new enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our expanding team of Support Workers to empower the children and young people we support to develop and grow in their own unique and inspiring way.

The school supports children and young people aged 5-19 years of age with a range of needs resulting in severe and complex learning difficulties, including autism. Hyde Lodge supports young adults aged 19 years plus.

Many have associated complex health needs, including severe epilepsy, which you will be responsible for managing. Our aim is to empower individuals to grow, to maximise their full potential, promote good health and well being and to help them achieve their goals. 

A Support Worker is one of the most important roles in a child or young person’s world, as they spend the most time with them, playing a vital role in supporting them live the life they want and ensuring they can achieve their full potential.

Shift Pattern:

Day Support Worker: Full time hours will be 40 averaged over a 2 or 4-week rota with a maximum of 5 shifts per week. This will allow for every other weekend off.  

Night Support Worker:  8pm – 7:30am/8am.
