A place to live. Start earning. Build a career. Rewarding work.

At Aurora, we’re not usually known to blow our own trumpet. To be honest we’re not sure we even own a trumpet (though that could be arranged), but we are confident enough in this instance to say we have a job opportunity which is special and could be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

Are you someone who wants to feel proud of what you do each day? Do you want to help a child or young adult with disabilities live more independently? You don’t need to have any formal qualifications as we can provide the training you need to become qualified – what you do need is energy, enthusiasm and passion to help make a difference.

As well an amazing new career, we are also offering you an excellent package that includes the chance to have a place of your own (subject to availability), live with colleagues (who will no doubt become friends), start earning (we all need that), will pay for your training (another bonus) and most importantly do rewarding work – and that’s on top of the supportive and brilliant team you will join. So, what are you waiting for!?

Here’s a bit more if you’re not convinced yet!

Located on a fantastic 14-acre site we’ve got two services: Aurora Meldreth Manor is a special school and children’s home for children aged 6-19 and Orchard Manor is a service for young adults aged 19+ – both support individuals who have severe and complex learning difficulties, including physical and sensory difficulties and complex health needs which impact on their daily lives. We are investing over £5 million into a full site re-development in order to make it a fresh, invigorating and great place to work.

As a Support Worker, you’ll be helping individuals to live the lives they choose and to ‘empower them to grow’. It’s a really important role, having responsibility for supporting people’s personal, health and care needs. Because you’re with young people for most of the day (or night), you’ll be a vital part of the team that enables them to achieve their full potential.

You come in for your shift, make this person’s life awesome, and then go home. Now that’s a good job. That’s a brilliant job!
— Shelly, Aurora Meldreth Manor Support Worker
