Shift Leader (SEN Residential Childcare)

Salary: £19,250 per annum

Hours: Fulltime

Location: Aurora Hedgeway School, Pilning South Gloucester

It’s a really exciting time to work for Aurora Hedgeway School. We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our growing team who are making a real difference to young people’s lives.

Aurora Hedgeway School is in the village of Pilning, 15 miles north of Bristol, and provides personalised education and care for children and young people aged 8-19 years old, with communication and intensive needs, typically associated with Asperger's Syndrome, ADHD, PDA and other challenges.

The role is about supporting your Managers (and deputising in their absence) in working with a team of Support Workers to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of our children and young adults first. The role will provide appropriate physical and emotional support to children and young adults through the work of the support team within residential and education/learning environments and with off-site activities.

The candidate will have a full UK Driving Licence and also have a QCF Level 3 in Childcare or a QCF level 3 in Residential Childcare
