— Shelly, Aurora Meldreth Manor Support Worker

Aurora Meldreth Manor and Orchard Manor are currently undergoing an extensive £5 million redevelopment and enjoying a period of growth and expansion.

As a result we have an opening for a Senior Support Worker to join our support services team.

The role will involve supporting your Care Management team (and deputising in their absence). You will work with and support through mentoring, coaching and best practice, a team of Support Workers to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of our young people first. The role will also directly support students and residents who may have a combination of learning, physical, emotional and/or associated disabilities to live happy and fulfilled lives and to be as independent as possible as well as helping them to develop positive relationships and to be equal and valued members of the community.

The school is set on a 14-acre site that works with children and young people aged 5-19 years of age with severe and complex learning difficulties. Many have profound and multiple learning difficulties and associated complex health needs which you will be responsible for managing.

Our aim is to maximise each individual’s full potential, promote good health and wellbeing and empower them to achieve their goals

Be part of our successful team and also benefit from a generous package that includes:

  • Career progression, training and support to achieve qualifications

  • Company Pension plan

  • High street discounts

  • Child care vouchers

  • Employee assistance programme

  • Up to 33 days paid holiday (pro rated)

If you are passionate about giving children and young people life chances that will shape their future, then you may well be the person we are looking for.
