Night Team Manger 

Location: Aurora Boveridge College 

Salary - Up to £24, 500 per annum

Aurora Boveridge College will be an independent specialist residential and day college, offering a range of academic and vocational courses leading to employment, further and higher education in a spectacular location in the beautiful Dorset country side in the former stately grounds of Boveridge House.

The college will offer dynamic and purposeful educational programmes which will take into account uneven learning profiles, which other colleges sometimes find difficult to adapt to. Qualification levels range from Entry level 2 up to and including level 3 (A levels).

The role is about ensuring the effective two-way communication and liaison between the day and night teams and supporting the Head of Care through effective leadership and management of a night team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety, development and welfare of the young adults first.

To provide appropriate physical and emotional support to young people in residence through the work of a care & support team within a residential environment.

  • Effective management and support of a team, which involves motivating, coaching, managing performance and auditing the quality of care as well as effective deployment of team resource, ensuring the night team’s waking time is most effectively utilised.

  • Understand what ‘good care’ looks like, be able to articulate this and act as a role model in demonstrating this in practice.

  • Ensure own and team’s adherence to all policies and procedures and regulatory and legal requirements of the role and of the Aurora Values.

  • Support the training and development of your team, particularly QCF, and the overall team development to ensure the delivery of ‘good care’
