An Easter Experience for St Christopher's School

Students from Class Sapphire at Aurora St Christopher's School spent the day taking part in a sensory and experiential experience to celebrate Easter.

The school were approached by a local church in Clifton Village with the opportunity for their students to take part in a SMSC (Spiritual, Moral Social and Cultural) event with a sensory and experiential installation of the Easter Celebrations.

Three of our young people took part in this event. They travelled to the church using the public transport and when there enjoyed the experience with the support of our staff and the amazing volunteers from the church. It was a really enjoyable day for everyone.

Students were greeted at the church and enjoyed a hot cross bun.

They then listened to Emily talking about the beautiful painting in a quiet space created to look like the Garden of Gethsemane.

Finally, students experimented with food textures such as bread, which were all set up like The Last Supper.
