IT Projects Engineer

Salary: £35,000

Hours: Fulltime

Base: Homebased with travel expected to all UK sites.  

Due to the nature of the work it is essential for the candidate to have a full UK Driving Licence with access to his/her own vehicle.

Due to company expansion a new IT role has become available within our central team. This role will be to support the Group IT Manager and the rest of the IT Team in a projects lead role.  

This new role is designed to help implement IT projects and change across the group and will involve developing, testing, installing, configuring and troubleshooting hardware and software. The ideal candidate will help to create documentation and instructions to promote the most effective use of technologies across the Group.

This role is home based but travel is expected to all services including two central offices across the UK which include:

  • Aurora St Christopher's in Bristol

  • Aurora Hedgeway in Pilning, Bristol

  • Aurora Boveridge College in Dorset

  • Aurora Redehall in Surrey

  • Aurora Eccles School in Norfolk

  • Aurora Meldreth and Orchard Manor in Hertfordshire

  • Aurora Brambles, Brambles East and Keyes Barn in Lancashire

  • Aurora Hanley in Stoke-on-Trent

  • Central offices in Wiltshire and Central London

The role will support the Aurora Group’s IT service delivery and assist the Central IT Manager on procurement, IT strategy and site due diligence and integration processes and workload. The IT Team is made up of three regional IT Technicians and a Central IT Tech based in London. 

Experience

The candidate will have extensive knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7,8.1, 10, Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2) and other software applications such as Microsoft Office, Office 365, SharePoint, Radius, VLANs, Deployment technologies such as MDT, SCCM. They will also have knowledge of back-end systems such as file servers, SAN system, backup technologies such as AutoLoaders.
