Working with children and young people is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world!
So says our CEO who has been involved with teaching and running special schools for over 40 years. He established Aurora in 2015 and leads people who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and adults with SEND. We are at a phase in our company’s growth where we want to enhance our offering by strengthening our team with the new role of Behavioural Specialist.
In 2016 Aurora acquired Meldreth Manor School and neighbouring Orchard Manor transitional unit for young adults. Multi-million-pound investment has been put towards improving the living and learning environments that meet the Aurora standards at these services and the 16-acre site is undergoing a major transformation right now. As part of our growth phase we are seeking three equally passionate and committed individuals to undertake the new roles in supporting behaviour management in our school and children’s home.
Ultimately, our focus is to provide great outcomes for the people we support and to empower them to achieve their goals.
If you’re someone that can make a difference we want you on our team.
Our growth plans for the school include being able to support more children and young people who have significant barriers to learning as a result of their communication difficulties. This will include working with young people who may at times present a range of behaviours that can be a challenge.
We are looking for three talented and passionate individuals to become Meldreth’s first ‘Behaviour Specialists’ and join our successful and dedicated team.
You will be actively involved in supporting children and young people to pursue their ambitions, needs and wishes though education and leisure activities. You will be working with students on their individual programmes as reflected in their Education, Health and Care Plans in school, at home and in the local community.
You are likely to have experience of residential childcare or learning support and a qualification or experience in working with people whose behaviour can challenge. You’ll also be a resilient individual with great communication skills.
If this sounds like the challenge for you and you enjoy being part of a successful team we want to hear from you. As well as rewarding work and a competitive salary you will enjoy generous benefits that include:
Career progression, training and support to achieve qualifications
High street discounts
Company Pension plan
Child care vouchers
Employee assistance programme
