Our Story

We were formed in October 2015, when a group of like-minded professionals stopped and asked themselves the question ‘Why can’t things be done differently?’

It is from this question, that Aurora was born and the team set out to create a group that would question established ways of working, uncover solutions and to constantly strive to deliver the highest quality of education and care.

Our goal is pretty simple. We want to ‘empower uniqueness’ in every child, young person and adult. By empowering every individual, we believe they will grow in their own unique and inspiring way. Now that word ‘growth’ is personal to each and every one of us. We believe that each individual has a unique set of skills and abilities, and that diversity should be encouraged, developed and celebrated. It’s our roles are to find ways to discover how.

What is significant about the name Aurora?

Aurora comes from ‘Aurora Borealis - we know it as the ‘Northern Lights’ - which can only happen when all the right atmospheric elements come together at the same time to create spectacular results.

Crucially every Aurora Borealis is unique, as is every individual in our care. Just as the atmospheric elements come together to create this spectacle, we will bring the elements of Education, Care and Therapy together in our own way, to create a dynamic and empowering effect for those we support.
